Eden Agency – A year in review!

Andy Litherland By Andy Litherland

It’s over a year since we waved a fond farewell to GotFocus Solutions and rebranded to Eden Agency. The last twelve months have flown by and I’m glad to report that it has been our most exciting and successful year to date!

Here are some of this year’s highlights:

Eden continues to grow

At Eden Agency we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of technology and we endeavour to provide innovative and cutting edge solutions to our clients. We just wouldn’t be able to achieve this without our talented team and we have continued to recruit some remarkable individuals this year.

Sophie joined us as our marketing and SEO guru in November. Our clients have instantly reaped the benefits with most of their websites now receiving 100% more traffic than before we optimised them.

Our development team has also continued to grow due to the high demand for our technical services. Mike and Scott both came on board this year as Android developers. The arguments and discussions about the merits of Android and Apple devices have been taken to a whole new level.

Eden Team

Fancy joining the Eden team? We are currently recruiting for a Senior Digital Account Manager.

Curtis Furniture Website

Recently we launched the sparkling new Curtis Furniture website. Curtis approached us with a brief to completely revamp their site with the aim of showcasing their bespoke hotel furniture. We worked closely with Curtis throughout the entire process of building the website.

The result was a stunning new website which renders perfectly on desktops and mobile devices. We completely optimised the site for SEO and Curtis are already seeing a significant increase in visitors to their website.

Curtis Furniture Website

The team at Eden are an absolute pleasure to work with. They are very well informed about the latest developments in digital marketing - and are always happy to offer advice and guidance when needed. The website they've delivered for Curtis Furniture is beautiful, effective and future-proofed. Highly recommended - Vikki Scott, Curtis Furniture

Auntie Anne’s Digital Loyalty Platform

In the lead up to October the Eden team were at full speed preparing the digital loyalty program for Auntie Anne’s. Auntie Anne’s have over 30 stores in the UK selling their scrumptious freshly baked pretzels. The ‘Pretzel Pass’ mobile loyalty app was launched on both the iOS and Android platforms. The app allows Auntie Anne’s loyal customers to collect “pretzel dough” with every purchase of their favourite flavour. Once enough points are collected customers can redeem their dough for free pretzels.

We were also one of the first agencies in the UK to rollout an iBeacon solution as part of the digital solution. Using low energy Bluetooth technology we could target pretzel lovers with marketing messages and discounts once they came within a range of 70 meters of a store.

VEO – Video Enhanced Observation

June saw the launch of the VEO mobile app on the iPad. VEO was the brainchild of Jon Haines and Paul Miller from Newcastle University, who both had a big passion for improving education through technology.

The app improves professional teaching practices by making use of the iPad's video capabilities and a unique tagging system. Teachers can review the videos at the end of the lesson and can identify their strengths or areas where they may need improvement. Combined with a statistics and a reporting section it's a very useful aid for any teaching professional.

The app recently won the “best teacher tool app” award from the iPad educators.

Veo is unlike anything else on the app store and can be a genuine marvel. Being able to record lesson observations and digital tag core elements and features for later is simply brilliant and a way to improve your practice. – Steve, iPad Educators

Craig writes a book!

I couldn't finish the review without a quick mention for Craig, who become a fully fledged author in January! He was approached by a publisher after they read his technical blog on iBeacons on this very site. A few months later and he has written a whole book on the topic. Needless to say that we are all very proud of him!

You can find the book, ‘Learning iBeacon’, on Amazon.

The year ahead

We have already started some truly amazing projects this year and there are exciting times ahead as we continue to grow.
