The Events House - Responsive web design and SEM

Background

World renowned specialists in corporate event entertaining, The Events House offer an array of activities to help make their events unique. From flight simulators through to branding and in-event marketing, The Events House work with the likes of Network Rail and Manchester Airport to plan, organise and entertain corporate business events.

Challenge

Due to recent company mergers, The Events House needed a new brand identity and website to support their growing business.

Adi (co-director of The Events House) made it clear from the beginning that he wanted a clear, sleek and modern website- the old website was dated in design, the navigation lacked structure and it no longer fit the brand identity.

Solution

iA & Content Planning

First a requirements gathering workshop was in order. This was so both us and the client understood what was needed from the website in terms of objectives, KPIS, structure and content.

After agreeing on the site’s structure and the pages needed, we worked together to create the content for the website. Using Adi’s knowledge of the business and our Digital Marketeers knowledge of SEO, we created the perfect copy for the site. 

Next, we went about designing a series of style tiles that encapsulated the sleek and high-tech vibe of The Events House. We then used the requirement gathering workshop and Adi’s feedback from the style tiles as our starting point for designing the site. 

Finally the website was developed [possibly more developery detail] and the CMS built. Adi was taught how to use the CMS (Umbraco) so he can add and delete pages when needed.

Results

After only one day of being indexed, many of the pages were ranking on the first page of Google for the targeted keyword phrases.
